Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) has the following open
position:

Chair of the Division of International Business and Technology Studies


Salary - Commensurate with qualifications.   

Job Duties - Supervising activities concerning faculty affairs, which
will include, among others: teaching, research, and service; supervising
activities concerning student affairs; and communicating division needs
to the Dean.   

Required Qualifications -Applicants must have a Doctoral degree in
Management, International Business, MIS, Decision Sciences, or in a
closely-related field from an AACSB-accredited university. Applicants
should also have a teaching, research, and service record warranting
appointment as an Associate/Full professor.   

Preferred Qualifications - Experience in academic administration is
preferred.   

The Division of International Business and Technology Studies is one of
two divisions within the A.R. Sanchez, Jr. School of Business at Texas
A&M International University. The Division consists of 16 full-time
faculty members in the areas of Management, International Business, MIS
and Decision Sciences. 

Texas A&M International University, located in Laredo, Texas, is a
member of the Texas A&M University System. It is the first new
university to be constructed in the State of Texas in more than 20
years, and the first campus in the nation to be completed in the 21st
Century. In addition, the University offers Bachelors and Masters
Degrees in various business disciplines; and a Ph.D. Program in
International Business Administration. 

This position will remain open until filled. A review of applications
will begin on February 1, 2010. 

The preferred starting date for this appointment is July 1, 2010. This
is a 12-month appointment and will be at the rank of Associate or Full
Professor. Compensation package will be commensurate with experience and
qualifications.
