Research Track "Groupware and Collaborative Systems"

in conjunction with the Fifth International Conference on
P2P, Parallel, Grid, Cloud and Internet Computing (3PGCIC-2010)

November 4-6, 2010 Fukuoka, Japan
================================================================

In a globalized world, organizations are becoming increasingly networked
and entwined. The benefits of networked organizations, however, come at
the price of greater distance. Collaborative technologies and systems
are key to bridging this distance. Despite the fact that these have been
around and in use for many years, there is a growing demand to support
higher-level and knowledge-intensive collaborative activities, e.g., in
E-Science and Global Software Engineering. In this respect, recent
developments within the scope of Web 2.0, Grid Computing, P2P, Wikis,
Semantic Web, and Social Networks have opened up new possibilities to
support collaboration.

The research track "Groupware and Collaborative Systems" in conjunction
with the International Conference on P2P, Parallel, Grid, Cloud, and
Internet Computing (3PGCIC-2010) aims at bringing together researchers
and users to discuss problems, new ideas, solutions, and experiences on
groupware and collaborative systems.

Topics include, but are not limited to:

* Collaborative methodologies, architectures, technologies, and protocols
* Collaborative tools and environments for real-time collaboration
* Web-based real-time collaboration
* Web 2.0 and social networks to support collaborative work
* Semantic technologies for collaboration
* Approaches for ad-hoc collaboration and virtual teams
* Approaches for collaborative problem solving
* Approaches for large-scale collaborative systems
* Approaches for collaborative modeling and design
* Collaborative aspects of SOA and workflow management
* Collaborative environments for networked enterprises
* Collaborative environments for E-Science and E-Research
* Collaborative environments for software engineering
* Requirements for collaborative systems
* Case studies on groupware and collaborative systems
