Post-doctoral Researcher in Healthcare IT

The School of Management at UT Dallas invites applications for a research position in Healthcare IT.  The 1-year position (with the possibility of renewal) will conduct research related to the usage and impact of health care IT on patient care quality and outcomes.  The candidate will be housed at the School of Management but will work with an interdisciplinary team spanning faculty from the UT Southwestern Medical School and the UTD School of Management. Interested candidates must have an interest in healthcare research, a strong track record of research based on statistical/econometric modeling, ability to process large volumes of data, maturity to interact with other faculty in determining data requirements, and conduct the research with minimal supervision. Educational backgrounds can come from several areas including a PhD in:



- Business (MIS/Statistics/Economics/Operations Management)

- Information Science/ Health Information Technology



Our preference is for candidates who have recently completed or plan to complete their PhDs by Summer 2010.  The expected start date is August 2010. The pay will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate’s profile.  Candidates with more experience who have direct interest in this research area are also welcome.  We prefer candidates who will produce research of excellent quality that will have high impact on the field.
