Business Information Systems (BIS) is a newly established discipline in the School of Business and Law. The new BIS major commenced in Semester 1 this year (ie. March 2010). Student interest in the subject area is growing with numbers increasing in Semester 2. Research activities are channelled through the Centre for Research on Information Systems Management (CRISM).
 
The AUT School of Business invites applications for the position of Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Business Information Systems. Candidates must have an earned doctorate in Information Systems or a related discipline and be able to begin January/February 2011. The successful applicant will join a small but dynamic group of scholars.
 
Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to research and publishing in peer-reviewed journals. Candidates for senior positions must have a proven research record which includes publication in high quality refereed journals.
 
Candidates should also be able to demonstrate their ability to be outstanding teachers at the undergraduate or postgraduate level (including Masters, MBA, and PhD) in one or more of the following areas: 
*Business Process Management
*Enterprise Systems
*IS Strategy & Governance
*Information Systems Management.
 
Excellent communication skills and well developed interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work effectively with both, interdisciplinary and disciplinary teams will hold candidates in good stead.
