*Introduction*

There is a growing trend towards using the case method (participant-centered
learning technique) as an effective teaching tool. While most case studies
available are on international companies, it is rare to find relevant cases
on the Middle East and North Africa region that would help students
understand the link between academic study and practical applications.
El-Khazindar Business Research and Case Center (KCC) would like to invite
case writers to submit mini-case studies for publication. The mini-cases
should focus on local and regional entrepreneurial companies operating in
the MENA region.





*Objective*

Produce mini- case studies on Entrepreneurship in the MENA region focusing
on how *innovation* leads to the significant growth of the business. These
cases would be used to develop a *Special Edition of "Innovations" *Journal
to be presented at* the Presidential Summit on Entrepreneurship in Turkey
2011. *



*Target Audience*

Professionals, researchers, professors and case writers interested in
writing case studies about entrepreneurs in the MENA region

Management

Management of Information Systems

*Submission Procedure*

You are invited to submit a complete mini-case on or before *Dec 30th, 2010*.
The mini-case should include a cover page with the name, affiliations, and
contacts of the authors (names should not appear in the following pages), as
well as a page covering the company name, the focus of the case, the mission
of the case idea including the management area(s) covered.


*Publisher** *
*Innovations* is a journal that features cases authored by exceptional
innovators; commentary and research from leading academics; and essays from
globally recognized executives and political leaders. The journal is jointly
hosted at George Mason University's School of Public Policy, Harvard's
Kennedy School of Government, and MIT's Legatum Center for Development and

*Guidelines*

*Focus*: The Mini-Cases should focus on *For-Profit Entrepreneurship* in the
*MENA region*. The cases should emphasize how *innovation* leads to the
significant growth of the business.

*Theme:* Each case should focus on *One* of the following stages of
Entrepreneurship: *Business Start-Up; Beginning of Operations &
Establishment; Growth & Expansion; Diversification or Turn around*

*Format*: Mini-Cases should be submitted in a Word Document (Times New Roman
12)

*Length*: about 1250 words

*Forms*: Mandatory Company Release form to be filled and signed. To
