[AISWorld] MIS Faculty Position at University of Illinois Springfield

The Department of Management Information Systems at the University of
Illinois Springfield invites applications for a tenure-track faculty
position at the assistant professor level beginning August 15th, 2011.

 

An earned doctorate in MIS at the time of appointment from an AACSB
accredited institution is required. Those with ABD status will be
considered at the application/interviewing stage. A strong commitment to
an interactive, student-centered learning environment and to serving the
needs of a diverse student body consisting of both traditional and
non-traditional learners is required.  Commitment to teaching is the
primary mission, with scholarly research as the second priority, and
service as the third priority.   Ability and willingness to prepare and
deliver graduate and undergraduate level; online, blended, on-campus,
and off-campus courses in at least two of the following areas:
e-business, object oriented physical design and implementation, and
business intelligence is required.  A record of high quality scholarship
or evidence of the ability to produce intellectual contributions leading
to publication in refereed journals is required.

 

Located in the state capital, the University of Illinois Springfield is
one of three campuses of the University of Illinois.  The UIS campus
serves approximately 5,100 students in 20 graduate and 23 undergraduate
programs.  The academic curriculum of the campus emphasizes a strong
liberal arts core, an array of professional programs, extensive
opportunities in experiential education, and a broad engagement in
public affairs issues of the day.  The campus offers many small classes,
substantial student-faculty interaction, and a rapidly evolving
