The College of Hospitality, Retail, & Sport Management (HRSM) invites
applications and nominations for the position of Program Director for
the integrated Information Technology (iIT) Program.  Graduate and
undergraduate students in the iIT Program receive a background in
information technologies in four major areas.  These areas include
computer networking, database systems, corporate training and
development, and project management.

The Director of the iIT Program reports to the Dean of the College and
works collaboratively with administrators and faculty to ensure the
Program is administered in accordance with educational policies and
institutional standards.  The Director is responsible for articulating
and promoting the iIT Program's mission to students, faculty,
administration, and external constituents.  The Director is also
responsible for assisting the Dean in identifying and pursuing funding
and development opportunities.

The iIT Program Director must be able to demonstrate a record of
successful leadership and administration of academic programs at the
college and university level.  Candidates also must demonstrate
knowledge of the Health IT field so that the candidate can successfully
implement and manage a new Masters of Science academic program in Health
IT.  They must have skillful administrative and strong leadership
capabilities, must possess an earned doctorate in an IT related area and
a distinguished record of scholarly and professional achievement that
will qualify them to be appointed at the Professor rank.  Candidates
with experience in strategic planning and/or IT responsibilities in
public health or health organizations will be given preference.  

The review of applications begins December 1, 2010, and continues until
the position is filled.  Submit to the Search Committee Chair a letter
of intent, curriculum vitae, the names and contact information for three
references, and a statement of administrative philosophy and vision as
it relates to faculty research, teaching, and governance.
