Dear Colleagues,

We are very pleased to announce the ISBIS Sardegna Statistics Summer School 2011 taking place on the Island of Sardinia (Italy) over two weeks:

27 June – 1 July 2011
"Statistical Methods and Software for Large and Complex Data Sets"

4–7 July 2011
"Business and Industrial Statistics"

The Department of Economics of the University of Cagliari is taking care of the organization in collaboration with ISBIS (International Society for Business and Industrial Statistics) and the ESSEC Business School of Paris.
The School will be conducted conducted under the auspices of the Italian Statistical Society (SIS).

The leaflet of the School comprising all needed information for applying with the complete scientific programme and other organisational details can be downloaded from the School website:

Abstracts and outlines of the lectures are also available on the School website.

We would be very grateful if you could spread this Announcement among your colleagues and students who may be interested in participating.

Participants will get their chance to learn from world experts! Indeed, the program is being designed to allow plenty of time to interact with other course participants and with the course instructors.
Participants can apply to register for one course (either week 1 or week 2) or for the whole 2-week period (with a reduced registration fee). A weekend excursion is being planned for 2–3 July.
