The Faculty of Informatics at the Vienna University of Technology
invites 
applicants from all countries to its "Vienna PhD School of Informatics".
Application deadline for courses starting in October 2011 is May 8th,
2011.

The Vienna PhD School of Informatics offers a three year (english)
programme with 
an intense period of supervised study and research, culminating in the
submission 
of a thesis. The PhD School's curriculum covers the five main research
areas of 
the Faculty
*  Business Informatics
*  Computational Intelligence
*  Computer Engineering
*  Distributed and Parallel Systems
*  Media Informatics and Visual Computing

Each year 15 students will be awarded a scholarship of EUR 1.000 per
month. 
Female applicants are explicitly encouraged to apply. Preference will be

given when equally qualified.
