Call for Applications for (Co) Editor-in-Chief

'Information & Management' (www.elsevier.com/locate/im) serves managers,
professionals, database administrators and senior executives of
organizations which design, implement and manage Information Systems
Applications. 

The major aims are:

* To collect and disseminate information on new and advanced
developments in the field of applied information systems
* To provide material for training and education in administrative data
systems
* To encourage further progress in information systems methodology and
applications
* To cover the range of information system development and usage in
their use of managerial policies, strategies, and activities for
business, public administration, and international organizations

'Information & Management' is currently under the Editorship of Prof.
Edgar Sibley. Under his guidance, the Journal has gained an excellent
reputation in the field, its latest Impact Factor(c) being 2.282. 

We are soliciting applications for a (Co) Editor-in-Chief, starting in
January 2012.  Primary qualifications for consideration include:

* Strategic vision for the positioning and improvement of the Journal
* Strong research record and evidence of leadership in the field
* Ability to dedicate a fairly substantial portion of annual workload to
managing Journal activities  

The Co-Editor will focus on increasing submissions and handling the
review process, while Prof. Sibley continues to edit and perfect the
final accepted manuscripts. 

The new Editor would be well-placed to oversee implementation of
technological advancements, ensuring the Journal is up-to-date and the
first point of submission for authors.

Applications are due by 30th April 2011, and should include:
 
1) A brief proposal, outlining a strategic vision for managing the
Journal 
2) A full CV 

Applications will be reviewed throughout May, with a final decision
reached on 1st June 2011.
