The Journal of Strategic Information Systems (www.elsevier.com/locate/jsis<http://www.elsevier.com/locate/jsis>) is pleased to announce the contents of the first issue of its 20th anniversary edition (volume 20, number 1, March 2011).

“The Greening of IT” is a special issue of JSIS. Edited by Pierre Berthon (Bentley University, USA) and Brian Donnellan (National University of Ireland, Maynooth), it deals with the truly strategic issue of sustainability as it relates to IT. In broad terms, the eight papers that form this issue deal with four key aspects of the topic, namely: issues concerned with policies and regulatory matters; technological considerations; assessment, and finally, consequences. Details of the eight papers are as follows, and each can be found at: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/09638687
