HICSS-45 CALL FOR PAPERS

Conference Site: Grand Wailea Maui

Dates: January 4-7, 2012 (Wednesday-Saturday)

Track: Decision Technologies, Mobile Technologies and Service Sciences

Mini-track: Multi-criteria Decision Support Systems

Most decisions are based on multiple criteria, pursuing multiple,
often conflicting objectives. The field of multi-criteria decision-

involving multiple decision criteria. This mini-track solicits papers
dealing with decision support for all types of multi-criteria decision
problems.

Case studies, papers focusing on specific types of decision problems
or applications, heuristic approaches applying information technology,
design of methods for automating parts of the decision making process,
as well as papers focusing on the concepts and larger issues involved
in providing information systems support to such decision problems are
welcomed.

Possible topics for this minitrack may include, but are not limited to:

   * Success factors for Multi-criteria decision support systems (MCDSS)

   * The role of the decision-maker in effective application of MCDSS

   * Case studies of MCDSS applications

   * Design of technology for specific aspects or phases of the MCDM
process

   * Decision support systems for project selection

   * MCDSS for specific applications domains (e.g. health care)

   * Classifications of decision problems and solution technology

   * Tools and techniques for multi-criteria portfolio selection
