Workshop Aims
The aim of this tutorial-style workshop is to assist researchers who are seeking to publish work in the Journal of the Association for Information Systems (JAIS) or journals of a similar nature. The workshop will discuss how to present work in terms of style and structure and also how to better demonstrate a contribution to knowledge and theory.

Workshop Agenda
The workshop will begin with an overview of JAIS, the categories of papers that are published and the editorial process. There will then be sessions concerning writing strategies and structuring and positioning of papers, so as to improve the chance of publication of submitted work.
In the workshop we will focus on three genres of research articles: (i) theoretical model development with quantitative approaches; (ii) theory development with qualitative approaches; and (iii) a design science approach.
Each session will be interactive and there will be opportunity for participants to discuss ideas and problems. Participants are encouraged to bring along an outline of current work that they are prepared to discuss.

Workshop Organizers
The workshop will be facilitated by members of the Senior Editors Board of JAIS: Professors Shirley Gregor (Shirley.Gregor at anu.edu.au), Dubravka Cecez-Kecmanovic (Dubravka at unsw.edu.au), and Ping Zhang (pzhang at syr.edu).
