Dear AIS members:

The 2011 voting is now complete and it is my pleasure to announce the
results of the AIS elections. The following candidates have been elected
and will take office on July 1, 2011:

President-Elect (candidates from Region 3)

Doug Vogel from City University of Hong Kong, with 333 votes

(Eldon Li, from National Chengchi University, with 139 votes, and Jae
Kyu Lee, from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, with
213 votes, were the runner ups.)

VP of Education

Keng Siau, University of Nebraska, Lincoln, with 266 votes

(Heikki Topi of Bentley University, with 206 votes, and Geoffrey Dick of
North Georgia College and State University with 207 votes, were the
runner ups.)

As announced earlier, with the reduction in the number of
Representatives for each of the three World Regions, there were no
Regional Representative elections needed this year. Those currently
serving will continue in their present positions through the remainder
of their terms. New Regional Council Members will be elected in time for
the next term openings in each Region.

We extend sincere thanks to the Nominating Committee, to all those who
stood for election, and to the membership for their participation in the
2011 AIS elections. Congratulations to the new office holders!

With best regards,

Jane Fedorowicz
