cfp: Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC) conference, "Harnessing Disruption: Global, Mobile, Social, Local"

This year’s PTC conference theme, Harnessing Disruption: Global, Mobile, Social, Local will focus on how the confluence of global networks, mobile devices and apps, social networking and geo-location is creating huge new markets and businesses, while promising enormous social advantages. “Disruption” is only the precursor to “creation.” Come join us in discussing, explaining, sharing and illustrating the many ways powerful global networks, ubiquitous and equally-capable mobile devices can support breakthrough new applications that create whole new industries.

RESEARCH PAPER AWARDS:

The Pacific Telecommunications Council conference will be on January 15 - 18, 2012 in Honolulu, Hawaii. PTC will be awarding two research paper prizes - the O.S. Braunstein Prize (for student papers) and the Meheroo Jussawalla Award (for researchers / conference participants).
