BIR2011 submission deadline (extended) is May 20, 2011.

BIR 2011 (10th International Conference on Perspectives in Business Informatics Research) invites you to contribute a paper to the conference taking place in Riga, Latvia in October 6-8, 2011. The main theme of BIR conferences is making businesses, people and IT systems interoperable and adaptive in highly interconnected and changing contexts.

Some details concerning BIR 2011:

All accepted full papers and the best reviewed short papers of the main conference will be published in Springer LNBIP. Local proceedings of the conference will be published in a special issue of scientific journal of Riga Technical University, "Applied Computer Systems", ISSN 1407-7493.

The main topics of the conference are:·       
Business, people and systems interoperability       
Business and information systems development       
Business intelligence
Knowledge Management and Semantic Web
Contextualized evaluation of business informatics

Workshops and the Doctoral Consortium (submission deadline July 15, 2011) also will be organized as satellite events.  All accepted workshop and DC papers will be published in local proceedings  with ISBN. Selected accepted papers from the workshops will be included in the  BIR 2011 post-conference workshop and DC proceedings (LNBIP, Springer).
