Faculty Position

Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student
learning, research, health care, and service invites applications for a
faculty position in the Department of Health Informatics and Information
Management in the Edward and Margaret Doisy College of Health Sciences.  The
position is a full-time, 12-month, tenure track appointment with rank and
salary commensurate with education and experience.  Position is available
July 1, 2011.

Qualifications:  Candidates will possess an earned doctorate in health
informatics or related discipline. Candidates with a demonstrated record of
experience, extramural funding and publication are preferred.

Position Expectations: Teaching in the Masters in Health Informatics
program, student mentoring, scholarship/research in area of
interest/expertise, participation in University and community service

Institutional Information:  Founded in 1818 as St. Louis Academy and
chartered as Saint Louis University in 1832, the university is now an
institution with over 13,000 students and is rated as a Carnegie Research
Extensive institution.  The university is located in the Midtown area of the
city of St. Louis, Missouri.  The Department of Health Informatics and
Information Management is one of seven units housed within the Doisy College
of Health Sciences on the Health Sciences Center campus.  The department
offers a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management and a Masters
in Health Informatics. The health information management program has been
continuously accredited since its inception in 1936. The Masters in Health
Informatics program began in 2008 and will be seeking accreditation during
2011. The department currently has three fulltime faculty (including the
chair), two part-time faculty and one staff.  Information about the
