Since first published in a 1987 issue of the IBM Systems Journal, the "Zachman Framework" has been the gold standard for enterprise architecture thinking. Zachman's original logic remains unchanged to this day, but over the years the labels and terminology associated with it have evolved toward greater clarity. The newest version of "The Zachman Framework for Enterprise Architecture" (also known as The Enterprise Ontology) was released last week and you can get a free copy of it at http://zachman.com/index.php/about-the-zachman-framework.
Hope all is good with you!
Best wishes,
Leon
