The Department of Management & Information Systems in the College of Business Administration at Kent State University seeks applicants for a full-time tenure-track position in Information Systems at the Assistant/Associate Professor rank.

The College of Business Administration and Graduate School of Management at Kent State University is a dynamic "university within a university" at KSU, with undergraduate, masters, and doctoral degrees. We offer undergraduate majors in Accounting, Business Management, Computer Information Systems, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Managerial Marketing, Marketing, and Operations Management. Basic Function:  The Department of Management and Information Systems (M&IS) at Kent State University invites qualified individuals with strong research and teaching interests in Information Systems (IS) development and IS strategy to apply for a tenure-track position beginning in Fall 2012 at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. 

Contract Length:  9 month 

Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities:  The ideal candidate will have a productive research portfolio, and be qualified to teach at the Undergraduate, Master's and Doctoral levels. The M&IS Department is collegial with strong emphasis on collaboration, and cross-disciplinary research. A secondary interest in supply chain management would be a positive but is not a requirement.

Candidates for the Associate position should have an earned Doctorate in IS or a related field; demonstrated record of research accomplishments, including publications, presentations, and effective and innovative teaching in IS or a related field, and show evidence of developing research agenda. The normal teaching load for new faculty is two courses per semester for the first two years; thereafter determined based on research productivity. Research support is available for the initial two summers, subject to budget restrictions. Salary and benefits are competitive. 

Minimum Qualifications: Earned doctorate, or be near completion of all degree requirements.
