*A number of positions as assistant professor or associate professor__*
*in accounting and finance at Roskilde University*
The Department of Communication, Business and Information Technologies
at Roskilde University, Denmark,is in the process of building up strong
research environments in accounting and finance, and therefore invites
applications for a number of assistant and associate professorships in
these areas. The new recruits will substantially define and create the
professional environments and will have great freedom in determining the
direction and framework for how accounting and finance will develop as
core academic disciplines of business economics in an interdisciplinary
research and teaching context.
At the Department of Communication, Business and Information
Technologies(CBIT) you will be part of a large and comprehensive
scientific environment that is characterised by interdisciplinarity,
openness and a high level of theoretical and methodological diversity.
While firmly based in business economics and the social sciences, you

research networks.
You will additionally perform both teaching and supervising in business
economics areas at PhD, master and bachelor levels. We expect you to be
willing to conduct teaching formed as problem-oriented project work --
and we would therefore like you to have experience with this type of

requirement.
We also emphasise that you:

assistant or associate professor level, including international
peer-reviewed publications on accounting and finance in relevant journals.
·Are fluent in Danish at a level that (possibly after two years of
employment) you can teach and supervise in Danish as well as participate
in ongoing administrative tasks and academic collaboration.
·Are fluent in English at a level that enables you to teach and
supervise in English.
·Wish to contribute actively to the continued development of the
department's teaching and research environments.
*Business economics at Roskilde University*
RU offers Bachelor of Social Science degrees in business administration,
business studies and business management. The programme provides
research-based and practice-oriented teaching and supervision at PhD,
master and bachelor levels. Business economics is anchored in the
Department of Communication, Business and Information Technologies,
which has**an innovative, interdisciplinary university environment that
provides research, education and communication in the areas of
journalism, communications, performance design, business economics,
business administration and computer science and information technology.
*Appointment

qualifications at doctoral level or equivalent. The appointment as
assistant professor is limited to three years. During the three years
you will take part in RU's assistant professor training, which
particularly emphasises project-based teaching.
Appointment as associate professor requires that your research and
teaching qualifications are at a level achieved on the basis of
satisfactorily completing a period of appointment as assistant
professor. You can have acquired these qualifications in other ways. You
must be able to document scientific production at international level.
Appointment as assistant/associate professor will be in accordance with
