Faculty Position in Information Systems
 UC Irvine's The Paul Merage School of Business has one tenure track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in Information Systems to begin July 1, 2012, subject to budget approval.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

We are looking for candidates with strong research records in any of the research areas of information systems.  Commitment to excellent in teaching is required, as well as the possession of an earned doctorate (entry - level candidates can be near completion) in a relevant discipline.  Salary will be commensurate with prior performance and experience.
 INFORMATION SYSTEMS AT THE MERAGE SCHOOL:
Merage's Information Systems area is consistently recognized as one of the most productive in business schools.  Current faculty members include: Vidyanand Choudhary, Sanjeev Dewan, Vijay Gurbaxani and Shivendu Shivendu.  In addition, Merage faculty work closely with their Informatics colleagues in the Bren School of Information and Computer Science including Alfred Kobsa, Gloria Mark, Melissa Mazmanian, Gary Olson and Judy Olson. The group has a strong record of extramural research grant funding through the Center for Research on IT and Organizations.

Information Systems faculty at Merage have served on the editorial boards of Information Systems Research, Management Science and MIS Quarterly. More broadly, Merage faculty have served as Editor-in-Chief of leading academic journals, including Information Systems Research, the Review of Financial Studies, the Academy of Management Journal and Organization Science.

The Merage School distinguishes its MBA program by focusing on strategic innovation, analytical decision making and information technology. The School offers four MBA programs, a Bachelor's in Business Administration and a Bachelor's in Information Management, and an active Ph.D. program.  Our MBA programs consistently rank among the top 10 percent in the world and our Undergraduate major is the most selective on campus.  The faculty rank among the top 10 for intellectual capital, and the IS area is generally recognized in the top 20.
