The University of Innsbruck invites applications for the position of a
University Professor of
Business Administration with focus on Information Systems
at the School of Management, Department of Information Systems, Production and Logistics Management. The position will be based on a civil-law, fixed-term employment contract until 30th of September 2015 with the University, according to § 99 (1) - (2), University Act.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The professor shall represent the subject of Information Systems in research, research transfer and teaching.
Successful candidates are expected to pursue internationally recognized scientific research in the fields of information management and management of knowledge-intensive processes. They shall contribute to the planned research center Services Sciences and Knowledge-Intensive Organizations and participate in the research platform Organizations & Society. They are expected to publish in internationally well-established peer-reviewed research journals and in the context of highly reputed international research conferences, to cooperate with international research and/or project partners, and successfully apply for research grants.
The professor shall teach in the School's undergraduate, graduate and PhD programs. Teaching will be in German and English
He/she is expected to actively participate in the strategic development of the School of Management and in academic self-government.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
a) a pertinent degree in higher education in Austria or the equivalent abroad;
b) a pertinent "Habilitation" or equivalent qualification;
c) publications in high quality international peer-reviewed research journals as well as in the context of highly reputed international research conferences;
d) documented participation in international research;
e) experience in raising external research funding;
f) excellent teaching skills;
g) international scientific experience pertinent to the discipline;
h) the ability to lead teams in research and teaching.
