*The New Poster Section for PLS '12 (Partial Least Squares and Related 
Methods) Conference (May 19^th thru 22, 2012) is open.*

*There is still more than a month left for people interested in 
submitting -  abstracts due on February 20^th .*

*The PLS '12 --conference will be held in Houston. *

*Free special one day workshop will be available for doctoral and other 
graduate students covering PLS and a new technique - correlated 
component regression.*

*This is the first time this interdisciplinary conference is held in the 
US -  where both experts and applied researchers from both science and 
social science can meet and discuss the application of partial least 
squares and related methods.*

*We are pleased to have Svante Wold -- credited for starting the field 
and coining the term "chemometrics" to provide both a retrospective and 
prospective talk of the discipline.*
