Position: The Department of Information Systems and Cyber Security at
The University of Texas at San Antonio invite applications for one
position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin Fall 2012, pending
budget approval.  Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate,
graduate, and/or Ph.D. courses.  Successful applicants must demonstrate
the ability to produce high quality scholarly research and publications.
This search specifically seeks candidates qualified to teach security
classes, such as Secure Software Development, Secure Network Design,
Information Security, and Digital Forensics.  They are also expected to
conduct and publish scholarly research in security-related areas.
Experience working with Ph.D. students is a plus.

Qualifications for Assistant Professor: Required qualifications: (1)
Ph.D. or attainment of Ph.D. status prior to August 18, 2012 in
Information Systems or a closely related field from an AACSB accredited
university, (2) strong evidence of potential for high-quality scholarly
research and publication, (3) evidence of prior teaching of security
classes such as Secure Software Development, Secure Network Design,
Information Security, and Digital Forensics, and (4) U. S. Citizenship.
Note that the research expected for this position will be part of a
large cyber security research effort that requires U.S. citizenship.
Preferred qualifications:  Candidates with graduate teaching experience;
record of peer-reviewed publications in security; experience working
with doctoral students; and experience working in diverse cultural
settings.

Department of Information Systems and Cyber Security:   The department
consists of 10 tenured and tenure-track faculty members and offers a BBA
in Information Systems, a BBA in Infrastructure Assurance, and minors in
Electronic Commerce, Information Systems, Infrastructure Assurance and
Security, Digital Forensics, and Data Center Management at the
undergraduate level; an MBA with concentrations in Information Assurance
and Information Systems, an MSIT, an MSIT with a concentration in
Infrastructure Assurance, and a Ph.D. with an emphasis in Information
Technology.  UTSA is a National Security Agency (NSA)/Department of
Homeland Security (DHS) designated Center of Academic Excellence in
Information Assurance Education and Research.  Courses approved by the
NSA/DHS are taught within the Department of Information Systems and

UTSA: The College of Business at UTSA is one of the 40 largest business
schools in the nation, and is accredited by AACSB International, offers
a variety of master's programs as well as Ph.D. programs in six areas,
and ranks third in the number of bachelor's degrees awarded to Hispanics
in the United States. UTSA is a comprehensive public metropolitan
