The Department of Computer Information Systems at Appalachian State 
University invites applications for a Full-Time Lecturer nine-month 
faculty position (4 classes) beginning Fall 2012, subject to funding. 
Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Computer Information 
Systems or in a closely related field.  Required as a minimum are 18 
hours of graduate level work in the field of Computer Information 
Systems or a combination of 5 years of relevant work experience and a 
graduate degree in a closely related field.  Candidates should be 
flexible in their willingness to teach a broad array of CIS courses. 
Faculty members are also expected to maintain an active program of 
scholarship as well as participate in service activities.
