Assistant Professor of MIS

The University of Oklahoma (OU) anticipates a tenure-track Assistant Professor position becoming available in Fall 2012 for a productive scholar in the area of Management Information Systems (MIS).  Our strong MIS program builds on a solid history of excellence and distinguished senior faculty members.  It offers an undergraduate major in MIS (which has been ranked among the top programs in the country), an undergraduate minor in MIS, an MS in MIS, an MBA/MS in MIS, a Graduate Certificate in MIS, and a PhD in MIS.  It also operates a Center for MIS Studies (CMISS), has an active MIS Student Association (MISSA), generates sizable scholarships annually, and enjoys significant support from the business community.  Faculty members are world-renowned, engaged in thriving research programs, generate significant external research funding, play leadership roles in top journals and conferences, and are outstanding teachers. Significant opportunities exist for professional growth and recognition as a member of OU’s Michael F. Price College of Business.

Desirable qualifications include evidence of excellent research and teaching.  Must have an earned PhD in MIS or related disciplines, or ABD with dissertation defended by August 31, 2012.
