The College of Information Science and Technology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha has an opening for a Visiting Research Associate/Postdoc in Information Systems. We are seeking strong candidates with research capability in one or more of the following or related areas: business analytics, data warehousing, data mining, data quality, and/or business intelligence. The candidate will be expected to work with departmental faculty to enhance research capabilities and output of the department. The Department of Information Systems & Quantitative Analysis (ISQA) is part of the College of Information Science & Technology (IS&T), an interdisciplinary college focusing on meeting the needs of a vibrant metropolitan area. The ISQA Department is responsible for a Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems (accredited by ABET) and a Master of Science degree in Management Information Systems. The master's program offers dual degrees with Public Administration and the College of Business, as well as certificate programs in such areas as information assurance, health informatics and project management. The Department is also part of an innovative college-wide Ph.D. in Information Technology. We are engaged in initiatives in service learning, international programs, and information technology for development, to name a few. E-learning and innovation in technology-supported pedagogy are of strategic importance. The ISQA Department is the 2011 recipient of the system-wide Departmental Teaching Award, recognizing teaching excellence as the top department across all four campuses of the university system.
