*Mobile Health Design*, May 23 - June 20, 2012

This 4-week * online* course examines the impact and potential of
mobiledevices for
health at a national and global level. Using systematic design
methodologies, professionals will learn to conceptualize and design
healthapps that incorporate evidence-based guidelines and capitalize
on the
unique capabilities of smartphones. The class project is to design a weight
loss app for Consumer Reports, who will present along with other guest

*4th Tufts Summer Institute on Digital Strategies for Health Communication,
*July 15 -20, 2012
This one-week, intensive course prepares professionals to develop,
formulate, and implement a comprehensive strategy to enhance their
organizations’ online presence. Participants will learn practical skills
for planning and executing effective health initiatives using the most
current web, social media, and mobile technologies. The case study is the
CDC, and the class project is to develop a new digital strategy for the
