Professorship (W2) in Information Systems,
especially Integrated Information Systems

The professorship shall complement the Bachelor and Master education with
technology- and application-oriented offerings. The focus concerns
conceptual and technological aspects of data management, architecture,
coupling, adaptation, programming, and the implementation of integrated
information processing in organizational and inter-organizational business
contexts. The professorship includes shaping and operating an 'Integrated
Information Processing Laboratory', which will entail regular conducting of
enterprise-system-based courses. 

The candidate is expected to participate in integrative, collaborative
research initiatives on topics such as digital media, inter-organizational
information processing, mobile and ubiquitous information systems. He/she
should demonstrate experience in the use of enterprise systems (e.g., in the
fields of CRM, SCM, ERP). 

Besides formal employment conditions (§36 HG NRW), we look for
internationally visible research achievements and excellent teaching skills.
The teaching load is 9 credit hours per week, which is common in German
universities. Candidates are expected to be able to teach in German language
one year after appointment.
