In particular, the mobiHealth project focuses on the creation and
investigation of successful and sustainable health service networks for
primary health care workers. The project involves a number of researchers
and dedicated professional developers distributed between Norway, Vietnam,
India and other countries. MobiHealth is part of a broader development and
research agenda within the global Health Information Systems Programme
(HISP), which develops and deploys the widely accepted open source Health
Information system called DHIS2. The DHIS2 software is chosen as a
national HIS standard in many countries, and has numerous high impact
deployments in Africa and Asia. The technology and projects give a unique
arena for learning about mobile health at a global scale and a rare
opportunity for working with a varied group of international health
information systems experts from a wide range of countries. The research
work and experience within the group gives a solid platform for those who
wish to specialize in mobile health solutions on a national or
