Original message

The AIS Senior Scholars will be presenting their "Best IS Publications of
the Year Awards" to five journal articles published in 2011. Official
notifications of the award winning papers will be made at a ceremony at this
year's International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS) 2012 in
Orlando. The five best papers will not be ranked.

An editor-in-chief may nominate an IS article from his or her journal by
sending a (non-protected!) PDF version of the published article to one or
all three 'process administrators', Allen S. Lee (allenslee at alum.mit.edu),
Fred Niederman (niederfa at slu.edu), or Claudia Loebbecke
(claudia.loebbecke at uni-koeln.de).

The award will reflect the article's contribution to theory and practice in
the IS field, the uniqueness/originality of its ideas, and the quality of
its arguments. A nominated article must contribute to the IS field rather
than simply refer to computing, and must be published during the 2011
calendar year. Only one article published in 2011 may be nominated from any
journal.
Editors-in-chief may not nominate articles for which they also serve as
author.

Nomination deadline is June 30, 2012.

Members of the Best IS Publications of the Year Awards committee -- all AIS
Senior Scholars but not currently the Editor in Chief of an IS journal --
will select the five best papers.

Looking forward to the nominations, we remain with kind regards,

Allen, Fred, and Claudia
