The Accenture Institute for High Performance has an opening for a Strategic Technology research manager based in Boston, Massachusetts.

The Institute creates strategic insights into key management issues and macroeconomic and political trends through original research and analysis.  Its management researchers conduct innovative research and analysis into how organizations become and remain high performance businesses.

The person in this role will work with global colleagues to produce original, peer-reviewed business and strategic IT research and develop new ideas on the use of information technology in business.  The position requires strong analytical, research and writing skills.  In addition to subject matter expertise on the strategic use of technology by businesses, we also seek people with a passionate interest in how 'next generation' Internet-based technology, including communication, social network and collaboration technologies, will affect the workforce, the public sector and industry.

Basic Qualifications:

*        PhD in a relevant research discipline such as Management Information Systems (MIS), Business IT, Technology/Innovation; or, an advanced degree such as MBA and 5+ years of equivalent work experience

*        5+ years experience in advanced topics in information technology, such as cloud computing, consumer technology, big data, agile computing and mobile platforms.

*        5+ years experience conducting strategic level business research for publication.
