9th International Conference on e-governance, SCMS, Cochin, Kerala, India, December 29-30th, 2012.

ICEG-2012 is the ninth event in the conference series on e-governance which began in 2003.

It aims to provide a forum for discussing research findings, strategies, policies, and technologies in the growing field of e-governance.

Honourable president of India Dr. Abdul Kalam inaugurated the first ICEG conference in 2003. In 2004, the Government of Sri Lanka, with the Prime Minister as the Chief Guest, hosted the conference at Colombo. In 2005, Lahore University of Management Sciences hosted it. Since 2006, the special interest group on e-governance of the Computer Society of India (CSI) has been actively supporting the conference. In 2006, it was hosted by IIT Delhi and in 2007, by University of Hyderabad. In 2008 IIT Delhi hosted it again and IIM Bangalore hosted the seventh event with focus on Microfinance and Healthcare. In 2011, the conference was hosted by Nirma University, Gujarat with active support of the StateGovernment of Gujarat. In 2012, the ICEG is being hosted by SCMS group of educational institutions at Cochin, Kerala, famed as “God's Own Country”.

Conference Themes / Call for Papers


Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished papers, nominating a theme related track or designating the paper as non-theme related (‘other’). All papers are to be submitted via the online paper submission system and will be peer-reviewed. Accepted papers will appear in the edited conference proceedings provided at least one author registers and attends the conference. High quality papers will be nominated for the best paper award within each track. Furthermore, selected papers may be solicited for revision and publication in suitable journals. Guidelines for Paper Submissions

Papers must be submitted online via the Open conference system (See website)

Paper must be in Microsoft Word or PDF file format; we do not accept hard copies
  *
Papers must be in English.
  *
Upon the paper's submission, it is automatically understood that necessary approvals for the publication have been granted to the Conference Organizers.
  *
Papers will be included in the proceedings only if one of the authors registers for the conference.
  *
Please indicate in the Cover Page the theme for which paper is submitted. Depending on the number of submissions, the organizers reserve the right to move an accepted paper to a different track or to a special session.

Camera Ready Paper Submission: December 5, 2012
