Tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Information Systems 

The Howe School of Technology Management at Stevens Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track position in Information Systems at the Assistant or Associate Professor level with an expected start date of August 2013. Of particular interest are applicants with backgrounds in business analytics, social computing, process management and/or decision sciences. The position is available immediately and applications will be accepted until the position is filled.

Qualifications: 
Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. in Information Systems, Management Science, Information Technology or other related field. Degree must be completed before August 2013. Candidates should have potential for excellence in research and teaching. Industry and/or government experience within these fields is a plus.

Job Responsibility: 
Stevens Institute of Technology emphasizes a balance between research and teaching. Current research clusters at the Howe School focus on three areas. First, decision analytics and big data: Building collective intelligence. Second, collaboration and networks: Understanding the changing nature of teams, organizations, crowds, and markets. Third, creativity and innovation: Generating products and processes. Information Systems faculty` at the school are active in research involving design science, social network analysis, collective intelligence, and process innovation. Candidates are expected to complement and enhance the research activities of the school with their own scholarly activities. Successful candidates are expected to teach undergraduate and/or Master’s level courses in Information Systems. The university offers a competitive teaching load and excellent support for faculty research.
