Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Technology and Innovation
Swansea University Business School

Salary: £31,020 to £35,938 per annum.

Applicants are invited for the post of Lecturer (Assistant Professor)
in the Technology and Innovation Management (TIM) Group in the College
of Business, Economics and Law.

The Technology and Innovation Management Group comprises a number of
scholars interested in innovation and technological progress -
particularly the key role played in modern society by ICT as a tool
for economic, business, and societal development and transformation.
It also incorporates the Centre for e-Business Research (CeBR) which
acts as a focal point for inter-group collaboration on
technology-related business research such as e-marketing and
e-banking, and is home to a substantial multi-disciplinary and
culturally diverse group of PhD candidates that investigate various
aspects of technology and innovation development and diffusion,
including e-government in developing countries, knowledge management,
mobile payments, self-service banking systems, innovation attributes,
and IT alignment in the financial services industry.

We are seeking to recruit a Lecturer capable of delivering general
material on the management of technology-based organizations (such as
introductory MIS courses) along with more specialised material such as
(but not limited to): e-commerce / e-business, Innovation management,
IT management / IT strategy, Knowledge management, Business
intelligence / Management of "Big Data"
The individual recruited should be able to develop and pursue a
research agenda and also develop collaborative and synergistic
research relationships within the Group.

Applicants will have, or be close to completing, a PhD in a relevant
area, and be able to demonstrate existing or potential excellence in
academic research and teaching in higher education.
