AMCIS 2013 Call For Minitrack Proposals for the Strategic and Competitive Use of Information Technology (SUIT) Track


With increasing success in the use of strategic and competitive information systems for generating business value and gaining competitive advantage, businesses are more and more inclined to design, develop, deploy, and use these systems.  The objective of the AMCIS 2013 Strategic Use of Information Technology (SUIT) track is to provide the conference attendees a better understanding of the management, success, and failure of these systems.  The AMCIS 2012 SUIT, therefore, solicits minitrack proposals for the aforementioned track that include research studies that are related to, but are not limited to the following areas:



1.     Strategic and Competitive Applications of Cloud Computing

2.     IS Strategy and Implementation

3.     Impact of IT on Strategic Innovation and Competitive Advantage

4.     IS Evaluation and Performance Measurements

5.     Risk and Security Management In Strategic And Competitive Information Systems

a.      Private Sector Initiatives

b.     Public Sector Initiatives

6.     IT Governance and Architectures

7.     Privacy and Confidentially Issues in Strategic and Competitive Information Systems (SCIS)

8.     E-Collaboration and SCIS

9.     Strategic Alignment for SCIS

10.  SCIS in Food and Agriculture Industries

11.  Strategic Transformations of the IT Organization

a.      The Transformational CIO

b.     IT Takes the Lead in Strategic Business Initiatives

c.      Transforming IT Projects into Business Projects


IMPORTANT DATES:

October 18, 2012: Minitrack proposals due (all proposals must be submitted using the new submission system for AMCIS: http://amcis2013.aisnet.org/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=84&Itemid=60)

November 19, 2012:  Revised Minitrack proposals due
January 4, 2013: Manuscript submissions for AMCIS 2013 start
February 22, 2013: Paper submission deadline
