**********ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF INFORMATION AND TECHNOLOGY MANAGEMENT************
The Information and Technology Management Department of the University of Tampa's John H. Sykes College of Business is seeking candidates for a tenure-track position to begin in Fall 2013 at the rank of Assistant Professor.  A Ph.D. in Management Information Systems, Operations Management or related fields is required.

Responsibilities may include teaching courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels in statistics, operations management or management information systems with teaching and/or research experience in mobile applications and technology preferred. Candidates should have a commitment to teaching excellence, student involvement, and community service. We emphasize relevant, applied and active scholarship.
The successful candidate will have:
*             A Ph.D. is required in the field of Management Information Systems, Operations Management or a related field.
*             MIS teaching specialization desired in mobile applications and technology and/or in big data platforms and analytics.
*             Statistics teaching experience desired in introductory statistics.
*             Active scholarship in information systems, operations management or related field.
*             The candidate may be expected to teach one or two introductory digital literacy courses per semester.

The College of Business is AACSB accredited, employs approximately 70 full-time faculty members, and includes three centers and two institutes.  The College occupies the state of the art John H. Sykes College of Business building, housing the College's 1600 undergraduate and 500 graduate students.  The ITM Department delivers undergraduate degree programs in management information systems (ABET accredited) and financial services operations and systems as well as supporting a concentration in information systems management in the MBA program.

Candidates are expected to have a commitment to excellence in teaching, engaging students in learning beyond the classroom, scholarly activity, and service.  A typical teaching load is three (3) four credit hour courses in a 14-week semester.  In addition, applicants will be requested to enter name and email address for 3 reference providers.
