*Clinical Faculty Position (Open Rank) in Management Information Systems
(MIS). *

*Qualifications:*
_Required Qualifications_ Candidates may apply as either
academically-qualified or professionally-qualified.For
academically-qualified, a Ph.D. (or strong evidence that the candidate
will complete the Ph.D. before the appointment date) in Management
Information Systems or closely related field from a nationally or
internationally recognized university is required.
Academically-qualified candidates must have a demonstrated ability to
publish in peer-reviewed Management Information Systems or related
journals. For professionally-qualified, an MBA or master's degree from a
reputable institution in a field related to Management Information
Systems is required.Professionally-qualified applicants should also have
full-time professional experience related to their teaching assignment,
significant in duration and level of responsibility, and current at the
time of hiring.Evidence of professional qualification can also be
demonstrated by current and continuing professional certification.All
qualified candidates must demonstrate evidence of excellence in teaching
and the ability to take a leadership service role within the college in
growing and maintaining enrollments in, and for providing support for,
the Management Information Systems and Entrepreneurship majors.
Successful candidates should provide evidence of the ability to teach
both: (1) Managing Information Technology and (2) Data Management
courses at the undergraduate level.
_Preferred Qualifications_Preference will be given to candidates who
will be academically-qualified, have industry experience in management
information systems or entrepreneurship, and demonstrate an ability and
willingness to help develop ties with the region's management
information systems community.Of special interest are candidates who
demonstrate knowledge and ability to work effectively with diverse
student and community populations, and contribute to the diversity and
excellence of the academic community through their research, teaching,
and/or service.
**
*Term, Compensation and Support:*
The appointment will be on a contract basis (e.g., 2-year contract) with
the opportunity for renewal. Duties are assigned for a nine-month
academic calendar, beginning on August 16, 2013 and continue through May
15, 2015. An academically-qualified faculty member would have a normal
teaching load of three courses per semester. A professionally-qualified
faculty member would have a normal teaching load of four courses per
semester. Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and
experience; benefits are competitive; the retirement system is TIAA/CREF.
