Assistant Professor (tenure-track) position of Computer Information Systems

The Computer Information Systems & Quantitative Method Department seeks applicants for ONE tenure
track position at assistant professor level beginning Fall 2013 to join our department. We seek dynamic
colleagues who welcome the challenge of teaching in established undergraduate, masters, and doctoral
programs, and who can support the research mission of a doctoral granting institution. Salary is
competitive.

Applicants for the tenure track position should have an earned doctorate in CIS or closely related field
from a Carnegie research university/ AACSB International accredited institution. Applicants must have
the ability to teach a variety of computer and management information systems courses: computer
security, electronic commerce, telecommunications, database management, and programming languages.
Interests in the area of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and/or Health Information Technology (HIT)
and/or Computer Forensics and Security are desired. A strong interest in teaching and research is expected
along with a willingness to provide service to the department, college, university, and community.
Applicants should have excellent communication skills, a collegial approach to faculty and student
interactions, and a sincere appreciation of cultural diversity. Applicants must have at least 18 hours of IS
and IT related graduate courses. The ABD applicants must complete their doctorate before the Fall 2013
semester.
