HEC® Management School - University of Liège (HEC®-ULg) invites applications for a tenure-track academic position in Management Information Systems starting on October 1, 2013. 

 

Prerequisites for qualification are a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems or in related fields (management, computer science, applied mathematics, industrial engineering, operations research). The candidate should demonstrate an excellent research potential and a keen interest in management applications, with significant international exposure. The candidate will be responsible for a complete teaching load essentially at the graduate level, including introductory courses in computer science and management information systems, and at the postgraduate level. The candidate should be committed to high quality in teaching and should be able to teach in French and in English. 

 

The candidate will become a member of the research center QuantOM and is expected to contribute to the development of the research center activities in supply chain management and quantitative methods. The School is especially interested in candidates with a strong background and a scientific interest in the adoption of management information systems and novel computing technologies (mobile computing, SaaS, cloud computing, semantic web, ...), their impact on the evolution of business models and their evaluation. Areas of interest include business process modeling and enterprise architecture, web based applications, eBusiness and eCommerce, business intelligence, ERP systems, logistics information systems, knowledge management,... Involvement in international networks, ability to supervise doctoral research, and/or evidence of industrial collaborations are valuable assets. The candidate will be expected to participate in research projects and missions for the account of the industry and/or public authorities.
