The department offers courses and conducts research in information systems,
operations management and business statistics. Programs include
undergraduate IDS major and minors in MIS, Operations Management, Business
Analytics, a Masters in MIS, and active doctoral programs in MIS and in
Business Statistics. The position(s) will encompass research and teaching
of undergraduate, MS-MIS, and MBA courses.

A Ph.D. in information systems, computer/information science, operations
management, statistics, management science or closely related area,
completed or near completion, is required together with a strong potential
for quality research and teaching. Applicants as the Associate or Full
Professor level must have an excellent record of teaching and scholarly
research activity consistent with senior-level faculty appointment.


Preference is for candidates with strong commitment to research in business
analytics, data/text mining, or large data approaches for research, and
interest in one or more related areas like business intelligence, social
media, e-business, supply chain, risk management, health informatics.
