Recent research suggests that in today’s organizations technical knowledge
may not be enough for employees to effectively perform competitive tasks,
make business decisions and gain competitive advantage.  Business specific
knowledge, core process knowledge, and industry knowledge must blend with
technical knowledge for effective organizational decision making.  With
this in mind, the theme for the IACIS 2013 International Conference is
“Organizational
Competitiveness in the 21st Century: Using Knowledge Resources to Support
Effective Decision Making”.

The *IACIS 2013 International Conference* provides a sho*w*case for the
latest research in practice and pedagogical topics that focus on how
information systems are used to support organizations or enhance the
educational process.  You are invited to share your research on the
conference theme or *other* relevant IS and IT research with the educators
and professionals attending the IACIS 2013 International Conference.
Papers covering related academic and technical issues are also encouraged.

Systems* is a refereed, serial publication of IACIS that is registered with
the U.S. Library of Congress and listed in the *Cabell's Directory of
