Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Position in Business Analytics

 

The Department of Management at Clemson University invites applications for
one tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Business Analytics to begin
in Fall 2013. We are seeking candidates who are committed to publishing high
quality research that will impact the field, and who can interact
effectively with peers in enhancing the intellectual climate of the
Department. The candidate should have excellent communication skills, and be
able to teach at a level consistent with Clemson's high standards.

 

Candidates seeking appointment at the rank of assistant professor must have
an earned Ph.D. (or anticipate completing all requirements for the doctorate
by August 15, 2013). Individuals who can teach courses in business analytics
pertaining to healthcare delivery systems, information systems, and/or
supply chain management are preferred. While preference is given to those
conducting research in healthcare analytics, the Search Committee welcomes
applications from highly qualified candidates with diverse interests in
information systems, operations research, statistics, supply chain
management, strategy, etc. We seek candidates who are able to use a wide
range of research methodologies; however, preference will be given to those
with strength in econometrics, statistical analysis, and/or analytical
modeling.

 

The Management faculty at Clemson University is a vibrant and innovative
group of scholars. The group actively participates in the research
community, holding senior editorial positions at top-tier disciplinary
journals; participating in thought leadership groups, forums and academic
conferences; and holding leadership roles in professional societies.

 

The Department of Management is an academic unit within the College of
Business and Behavioral Science. The Department has 29 faculty members, and
offers a Bachelor of Science degree in management with six areas of
emphasis, a Master of Science degree in management, and a Ph.D. degree in
management with concentrations in management information systems and
operations and supply chain management. Management faculty members also
