Important Dates

Submission Open:                        December 16, 2012 

Submission Deadline:                    March 1, 2013 

Final Notification to Authors:          March 15, 2013 

Final Submission for Printing:         March 29, 2013

Conference Dates:                       April 12 & 13, 2013

 

Submission Types

Research Paper Submissions

Undergraduate students are invited to submit high quality research papers
targeted specifically to one of the two conference tracks.  There will be
a monetary award of USD $250 for the best paper in each track [students
must attend the conference to be eligible for this and all other prizes].
The submissions should not be currently under review elsewhere and should
have not appeared elsewhere. The two conference tracks are:

1)       E-commerce and Social Media 

2)       Enterprise IT Trends  

 

Case Competition Submissions

Undergraduate tudents who do not wish to submit a research paper may
choose to participate in the Case Competition. The theme for the Case
Competition is Managed Services.  To participate in the Case Competition,
students are expected to analyze a case study and propose a solution to
the business problem described in the case.  A monetary prize in the
amount USD $500 will be awarded to the best case submission and
presentation.

 

Poster Submissions

Undergraduate students who have research in progress, a case study, a
technology idea or a business plan that fits within the conference theme
of "Technology-Managed Services," are invited to submit their work
directly to the Poster track.  

 

 

The conference is jointly organized by Carnegie Mellon University in Doha,
Qatar and the American University of Sharjah (AUS) in the United Arab
Emirates.  While being hosted at AUS, the conference will include
activities on the AUS campus in Sharjah, as well as in Dubai.
