Southern AIS 2013 in Savannah: Paper Submission Due by January 4th

SAIS 2013 Conference

March 8 – 9th, 2013

Savannah, Georgia

The Southern Association for Information Systems (SAIS) is an official chapter of the Association for Information Systems (AIS). The annual SAIS conference is an intimate gathering of information systems academics with fewer than one hundred participants. Past SAIS conferences have attracted doctoral students and faculty, including many recognized scholars, from around the US and around the globe. SAIS 2013 will be held in Savannah at the Hilton Savannah DeSoto, situated downtown in the heart of Savannah's Historic District among the dining, shopping, and theater districts.

SAIS 2013 provides an opportunity for close interaction among presenters and attendees. Both completed research and research-in-progress papers from all areas related to information systems are invited for submission. All papers will be included in the conference proceedings, and authors have the option of including their papers in the AIS e-Library. In addition, selected papers will be fast-tracked for publication in the new Journal of the Southern Association for Information Systems (JSAIS) (http://www.jsais.org/), with Craig Van Slyke as Editor-in-Chief.

Explore Savannah from the Hilton Savannah DeSoto hotel. Centrally located, this Savannah hotel is ideal for access to shopping, theaters, nightlife, arts and architecture. Telfair Academy of Arts and Sciences houses decorative arts. Stroll down cobblestone River Street for souvenirs and restaurants. Visit nearby Jepson Center for the Arts and admire major traveling exhibits. City Market is Savannah’s premier arts, dining, shopping, entertainment and nightlife. Indulge yourself at Paula Deen’s Restaurant. Visit the Cathedral of St John the Baptist only one block from the hotel. Relax in the heart of Savannah’s historic district. Discover the birthplace of the Girl Scouts at Juliette Gordon Low House. Wander around Forsyth Park and admire the fountain.
