--CFP---
You are invited to submit a paper to the "Methodologies and processes" mini-track, part of the Systems Analysis and Design track at AMCIS 2013 conference. The conference will be held in Chicago, Illinois, USA from August 15 to 17, 2013.

Mini-track title: Methodologies and Processes
Track: Systems Analysis and Design

DESCRIPTION: The study of methodologies and processes used in IS Development is a research area of central importance in the information systems field. The scope of this mini-track ranges from the formative aspects of information systems development (e.g., systems planning and feasibility) to the "core" concepts in SA&D (e.g requirements determination, analysis, and design), finally to delivery of the information system product (e.g., system implementation). Also included are methodologies of work process analysis as well as distributed and global aspects of teamwork in the process of IS development. This mini-track is intended to bring together researchers studying technical, empirical, cognitive, pedagogical, theoretical, and applied aspects of IS Development methodologies and to highlight the continuing fundamental position of systems analysis and design in the IS discipline. Papers can cover a variety of topics such as design and development of lightweight mobile applications, methodologies for creating applications from web services, incorporating agility in IS development methodologies, balancing plan-based and agile methods, issues in managing globally distributed projects, and improving project management practices to address success dimensions such as scope, schedule, costs, and quality.

Suggested topics include but are not limited to:
* Methodologies and Processes for Lightweight Mobile Applications
* Factors Influencing the Success/Failure of IS Projects
* Empirical research in SA&D methodologies and processes
* Economic Analysis of IS Development
*         Requirements Determination in SA&D
*         Cognitive Issues in SA&D
*         Work Processes in SA&D
* Teams and Teamwork in SA&D
* Comparing SA&D Models and Methodologies
* Software and Component Reuse and Development
* Organizational Implementation Issues concerning Business Information Systems
* Processes for application creation using Service-Oriented Architecture

Important Dates:

*         Feb 22, 2013    Paper submissions deadline 11:59 p.m. CST

* April 22, 2013 Notification of whether paper is accepted or not
