The Site Advisory Committee (SAC) of the AMCIS Executive Committee solicits preliminary bids for AMCIS 2017.

The AMCIS Executive Committee has established a rotation schedule as a guideline for locating future conferences. However, other locations will be considered. For the next several years, AMCIS Conferences will be in the following locations:
2013 North America Central Region (Chicago)
2014 North America Eastern Region (Savannah)
2015 Latin/South America (Puerto Rico
2016 North America Western Region (probably San Diego)

For 2017, we seek bids to hold the conferences in the NORTH AMERICA CENTRAL REGION. While the conference rotation schedule acts as a guideline, bids may be submitted for any conference location in the Americas. Note that the biders do not have to reside in the proposed conference location.

Site Selection Procedures for the AMCIS conference can be found on the AIS website at http://start.aisnet.org/?AMCISSiteSelection#Top%20Page

Prospective bidders are asked to first complete the AIS Notice of Intent to Bid (NIB) form found at http://start.aisnet.org/?AMCISIntenttoBid and submit it no later than March 1, 2013. Completion of this form will notify us of your intention to bid. Once the form is received, you will be contacted by Lise Fitzpatrick, AIS Conference Director, who will answer any questions you have about preparing your bid and next steps in the process. PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT contact any hotel/venue or convention/visitors bureaus about your interest in bidding. Lise Fitzpatrick will handle initial communication with these contacts.
