    Dear Sirs,

    It is our great pleasure to invite you to HCist 2013 – International Conference on Health and Social Care Information Systems and Technologies.
    HCist will be held in Lisbon city center, from 23 to 25 October, at Inspira - Santa Marta Hotel (http://www.inspirahotels.com/en/hotel-overview.html), a very comfortable and cosy hotel located near one of the most cosmopolitan and luxury avenues in Portugal.

---------- Proceedings and list of journals

    Only original contributions will be accepted. All accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings to be published by Elsevier as a Procedia Technology series and will be available on Sciverse ScienceDirect.

    Authors of selected papers will be invited to extend the paper for publication in international journals, listed bellow, and in edited books.

  - International Journal of Healthcare Information Systems and Informatics (IJHISI);
  - International Journal of Reliable and Quality E-healthcare (IJRQEH);
  - International Journal of E-Health and Medical Communications (IJEHMC);
  - Information and Communication Technologies for the Advanced Enterprise: an international journal - ICT'ae;
  - International Journal of Web Portals (IJWP).

---------- Submission Procedure

    Submissions can be made as full papers, short papers, poster papers and industry papers.
    Researchers and practitioners are invited to submit their manuscript electronically at the Conference webpage:http://hcist.eiswatch.org  until May 15, 2013.

    Submitted papers will be reviewed on a double-blind review basis.
