International Health Informatics Conference (IHIC 2013)
August 3 - 4, 2013 Beijing, China
http://www.ihic2013.org

Co-located with the International Joint Conference on Artificial
Intelligence (IJCAI) 2013

** IMPORTANT DATES **
- Submission deadline: May 15, 2013
- Acceptance Notification: June 5, 2013
- Conference Dates: August 3-4, 2013

** INTRODUCTION **

Advancing informatics for healthcare and healthcare applications
has become a global research priority. There is increased effort
to transform reactive care to proactive and preventive care,
clinic-centric to patient-centered practice, training-based
interventions to globally aggregated evidence, and episodic
response to continuous well-being monitoring and maintenance.

IHIC 2013 aims to provide a forum for health informatics researchers
and practitioners to discuss fundamental principles, algorithms and
applications of intelligent data acquisition, processing, and analysis
of healthcare data. IHIC 2013 is particularly interested in papers
discussing innovative healthcare informatics applications, case
studies, and information and knowledge management techniques, in
which the approaches are accompanied by an in-depth computational
evaluation with real world data. IHIC 2013 encourages broad participation
from researchers and professionals from a diverse range of disciplines
including medical informatics, bioinformatics, electronic health
records, epidemiology, health statistics, health data mining, public
health, health economics, health-related behavioral studies, computer
science, and information systems, among others.

The conference will be held in China and expects global as well as
Asian participation.
