Call-for-Participation

From June 29th until July 2nd 2013 the 6th International Conference on Communities and Technologies (C&T13) will take place in Munich, Germany. This biennial conference is the premier international forum for stimulating scholarly debate and disseminating research on the complex relationships between communities - both physical and virtual - and information and communication technologies.

At C&T13 you will find five inspiring workshops - ranging from topics like Digital Cities to Idea Management or Urban Space in the Web 2.0 Era (see http://www.ct2013.cnss.de/program/workshops/ for more details).
At the main conference eighteen scientific papers will be presented - covering topics from Enhancing Civic Participation through Public Displays to Studying Social Technologies and Communities of Volunteers in Emergency Management (see http://www.ct2013.cnss.de/program/papers/). Additionally, there will be two keynotes on the topic of Open Innovation / Social Product Development - given by the leading expert in this field, Prof. Dr. Frank Piller, and Catharina van Delden, just labeled “one of the most influential women founders” in The Next Woman Business Magazin.

Apart from the content of the conference, we would also like to point to the location(s) we have selected. Munich itself is one of the most worth visiting cities in Europe - especially in Summer, when the beer garden season is open. We will hold the workshops in the main campus of Technische Universität München and the main conference in Kolpinghaus very near the city center. The social event will take up the beer garden idea and will lead us to Augustinerkeller, one of the oldest beer gardens in the center of Munich.

Do not miss the opportunity to be part of C&T13 and register today (at http://www.ct2013.cnss.de/registration/)!

We are looking forward to welcoming you in Munich,
Michael Koch (UniBwM) and Johann Schlichter (TUM)
